A graduate of the UK’s National Film and Television School, Michael’s work spans feature films, television, music videos and music composition, with above-the-line broadcast credits on BBC, Channel 4 and Sky. Directing credits include the critically-acclaimed Channel 4-commissioned documentary Chatham Jack, selected as “choice of the day” by Radio Times and Time Out magazines; and award-winning shorts Mowing the Lawn and I Saw Mommy Killing Santa Claus. Producer – Donna Lyon

Donna L. Hensler

Donna Lyon is a Melbourne based producer and graduate of the University of Melbourne VCA Producing Course, where she produced two award-winning short films; The Postman and Filled With Water. She worked on the Steven Spielberg HBO series The Pacific, production managed the AFC and Film Victoria funded short film Love Apples, post production managed the feature documentary Lionel, and produced hours of low-budget television shows and DVD series made from archival material and sold internationally. In the last few years she has produced the Film Victoria funded short film Just Desserts, which is now being distributed by Flickerfest. In addition, she has worked as a digital marketer and producer and lectured in production management. In 2015, Donna was co-producer on the critically acclaimed feature film, Joe Cinque’s Consolation, based on the celebrated novel of the same name, by Helen Garner. Donna currently oversees the yearly production of over 150 short films made at the VCA Film and Television. She is also embarking on a practice-based PhD digital archive research project at The University of Melbourne.


Bek Chalmers – Geraldine Hakewill

Geraldine graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2008. She has worked for many of the major theatre companies in Australia, including starring roles for the Sydney Theatre Company in Fury, directed by Andrew Upton, Les Liaisons Dangereuses with Hugo Weaving, and Baal directed by Simon Stone, as well as the recent productions of Chimerica and Disgraced. For Belvoir Street Theatre, Geraldine played Wendy in Ralph Myers’ Peter Pan which made a highly successful tour to New York in 2013. Geraldine has also worked for Bell Shakespeare in their production of Moliere’s Tartuffe, and for Darlinghurst Theatre she starred in The Pride, receiving generous critical acclaim. Most recently she was seen in Melbourne Theatre Company’s Macbeth, as Lady Macbeth alongside Jai Courtney.

Geraldine has also appeared in many Australian feature films including the lead in Bill Bennett’s Uninhabited, John Duigan’s Careless Love, Wasted on the Young with Adelaide Clemens, as well as Joe Cinque’s Consolation. Geraldine can be seen in the lead role in the independent Australian feature film The Pretend One, currently enjoying success on the international film festival circuit.

For television, Geraldine is the co-lead in the Channel Seven/Matchbox series Wanted alongside Rebecca Gibney. Her performance in the series garnered her a TV Week

Logie Nomination for the prestigious Graham Kennedy Award for the Most Outstanding Newcomer. Wanted has also just been nominated for Most Outstanding Drama at the 2017 International Emmy Awards. She has also been seen in the US series Camp for NBC Universal/Matchbox Pictures, as well as ABC TV’s Soul Mates (Series 2), Here Come the Habibs (Series 2) and in the ABC medical drama Pulse.

Emily Bowman – Matilda Ridgway

Matilda is an award-winning actor, theatre maker and arts educator. For the Ensemble Theatre she has performed in Proof, Seminar, My Wonderful Day, Brooklyn Boy and Ruby Sunrise. Her other theatre credits include This is Mine (Corinthian Food Store), Jasper Jones (Belvoir), Hamlet, Henry 4 and The Players (Bell Shakespeare) Crucible, Midsummer Nights Dream, A Doll’s House and Much Ado About Nothing (Sport for Jove), The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant, Kayak, Cock and Sprout (Old Fitzroy Theatre) Platonov and Sweet Nothings (ATYP).

Her film and television credits include, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Jackie, Hiding (ABC), 1919 (ABC) the Cannes Palm D’Or nominee The Guests and the independent feature films Marley, Someone and 2010.

Matilda trained at the Ensemble Studios, Atlantic Theatre Company NYC, SITI Company NYC and L’Ecole Phillippe Gaulier Paris.

Danny Bowman – Mark Leonard Winter

Mark completed the acting program at the VCA in 2005.

His feature film credits include The Dressmaker, with Kate Winslet, The Fear of Darkness, Healing opposite Hugo Weaving and Don Haney (2014 16th Annual St Tropez Antipodes Film Festival Award Winner: Audience Award), The Boy Castaways directed by Michael Kantor, Robert Connolly’s Balibo, (14 AFI Award nominations), Van Diemen’s Land, Blame, Playing for Charlie and One Eyed Girl directed by Nick Matthews (2015 Madrid International Film Festival Award: Best Lead Actor, and 21st Annual Austin Film Festival: Dark Matters, Jury Award).

Mark’s television credits include HBO’s
The Pacific produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, Killing Time for TV1, Rush (Series 4) for Network 10 and The Homicide Franchise: Dr Wainer’s Summer Offensive for the ABC. Mark also plays internet sensation Detective Larry Hard in Cop Hard, a webisode series created and produced by the makers of Van Diemen’s Land.

Most recently, Mark finished shooting the Netflix series Pine Gap. He has featured in Cleverman (Series 2) from GPTV Productions and the acclaimed second season of Top of the Lake; China Girl directed by Jane Campion and Ariel Kleiman.

Joel Chalmer – Tom Wren

Tom is a graduate of the Victoria College of the Arts (VCA) and has enjoyed a successful career in Australia and internationally. Tom is best known for his role in four successful seasons of Seven Network’s much-loved drama Winners and Losers as ‘Dr. Doug Graham’, garnering a Logie Award nomination for Best New Talent.

Tom has also appeared in the chilling US sci-fi drama series Hunters. Other television credits include Screentime’s Fat Tony & Co, Rush, City Homicide, Bed of Roses, The Saddle Club and the US telemovie Paradise Pictures. Tom will soon be seen in the second series of Matchbox Pictures/Universal Media Studios International’s Secret City and The Blake Mysteries telemovie.

On the big screen, Tom has been seen in the UK/Australia co-production The Inbetweeners 2. Based on the popular UK television series of the same name, this outrageously funny feature was shot in London and Australia, featuring Tom as ‘Stephen’. He also appeared in the independent feature Drama as ‘John’, one of the leads in this French/UK/Australian co-production shot in Paris.

In theatre, Tom performed in the Sydney Theatre Award-winning The Only Child, a The Hayloft Project/B Sharp production directed by Simon Stone, following through a year later with same creative team in The SuicideAlso with The Hayloft Project was 3xSisters. Other productions include A Man for All Seasons (Melbourne Theatre Company), Othello (Bell Shakespeare Company), The Little Dog Laughed (Red Stich Theatre Company), Lovers and Haters (Adelaide Festival) and Harp on the Willow (Martin C. Cook and Associates).
